hub-LABS builds learning platforms and digital systems for schools. We work with teams in Nakuru, Nairobi and Stockholm.

We got into this because our customers kept asking us the same question. Heads would ask what their device policy should say, and we would find that nobody had given them an answer — not the Ministry, not the curriculum, not the vendors selling them tablets.

Kenya has good online-safety content already. Terre des Hommes, ChildLine Kenya and Watoto Watch have written it. The Kenyan Government's own National Plan of Action notes that these curricula exist but "have not been adopted by the government and are therefore not compulsory for teachers."

The gap is not content. The gap is adoption, accreditation, delivery and distribution. That is a systems problem, and it is what we do.

Our courses are certified by hub-LABS and built against the DQ Framework (IEEE 3527.1-2020), UNESCO's Digital Literacy Global Framework and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child General Comment No. 25.

We are pursuing independent CPD accreditation and registration under Kenya's National Micro-Credentials Framework. We will name every accreditation on this page as it is granted, with the accrediting body and the date — and we will not claim any before then.

Every statistic on this site carries its source and its year. If you find an error, tell us. We will fix it and say that we did.
